Laura Wooley
Arborist

Laura Wooley began admiring trees from an early age. However, she didn't learn to plant them until 2004, when she worked as a community forestry intern while earning her masters at Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. In 2005 she began working for NYC Parks & Recreation's New York Tree Trust program as a forester, managing private-and-grant-funded tree planting projects on city property, as well as training New Yorkers of all ages in caring for street trees. Since starting in 2010 at Urban Arborists, she has taken her love of trees to a different level.  Laura sources trees from nurseries throughout the region and beyond and manages all of Urban Arborists planting projects, large and small.  She also visits and/or consults on a wide variety of Urban Arborists’ tree care, preservation, assessment and removal projects.
